“Good place, pretty cheap for Europe prices, but the ski lifts are simply terrible, especially for snowboarding. We got unlucky with the snow. But other than that I could recommend the place for families and people on a budget.”
“Great family resort with runs for all abilities and great amenities.”
“Great for kids doing learning. We went for our 4&6 year olds, there was a little slope with an auto pulley. That was great fun for the kids. Also it wasn't so busy the Saturday that we went. We are only about 40 minutes away on Alsace side. Restaurant had great views on one side. There were cafeteria for lunch, and a little snack bar with hot crepes or waffles options along with warm and cold beverages. There was a small kid corner for indoor breaks, which I wished could have been bigger, but at least it was better than nothing. Will go back again.”
“Schnepfenried is a fantastic place to visit any time of the year. Winter is a well known place for family skiing all ages and all levels. Very good ski instructors and very well maintained ski runs. Apart from skiing during the warmer seasons one can hike on the trails, climb, mountain biking and even sledging. The restaurant and the fermé auberge nearby are very good with local and international food options and staff members are very nice and welcoming.”
“Went here with my kids, great forest adventure park with canyoping options for young children to adults. Staff was very friendly, open every day in may. Highly recommended.”
“Small ski resort, perfect for a quick day on the slopes. The counterpart is that the 2 ski rental offices are rather small and if you arrive late-ish, there is a risk they run out of skis to rent. Also, parking options are limited.”
“This Ski got from me 5 Stars, the Parking is Free, you don't have to walk a lot is near the parking! 20 Meters next to the skistation you can rent all equipment! I am a amateur and for me this was enough and we had awesome experience!”
“Visit on 27. december, afternoon skiing Here a detailed review: After it snowed well on Christmas I went to go skiing in the vosges. After some bad luck at Gaschney 360 (broken skilift) I headed to Schnepfenried. Arrival: I arrived at 2pm and struggled a bit to find a parking spot but found one conveniently on the road side next to the ski run. The shop to buy ski passes was a bit of a walk though but the price for an afternoon pass was pretty good. Ski lifts: Since it was Christmas holidays, it was a bit more busy than usual and every ski lift had a bit of a line (reached up to 10min). Also I should mention that the ski area only has drag lifts (didnt bother me though). Ski runs: I liked that you always had a nice view towards the Munster Valley while on the ski runs. The runs are on the average a bit shorter than most in the alps and are not longer than 800m. The blue and red runs are fun and you could do some carving. They do however have some unexpectly challenging runs. The ungroomed mogul runs at the bronner ski lift, for example, were quite sporty. Sadly it had quite lots of grass patches and tiny rocks (the groomed runs also had some "scratchy" patches). The ungroomed cross run is quite a little adventure and feels a bit like a freeride treeski run. Since it was already afternoon the snow at the terrain park and freestyle run were a bit roughed up but still fun to use. Verdict: ++landscape, view +price +runs of various difficulties including some black mogul runs +great for beginners -low capacity lifts -no exceptionally long runs”
